DORO's New Album 'Baptism' With Fans From Around The World

"A record production always also resembles a birth," says German metal queen Doro Pesch. "You invest a lot of blood, sweat and tears in the studio until the album is finally in stores. Each studio album is therefore like a child to me."

The new "baby" is called "Raise Your Fist" and was produced in various studios in New York, Los Angeles, Denmark and Germany, and will be released on October 19 via Nuclear Blast Records. The "baptism" was recently celebrated by band and 200 diehard Doro fans from all around the world.
Doro's new record company, Nuclear Blast, introduced the first available copy of "Raise Your Fist" while Doro donated a bottle of champagne. Then the CD was "baptized" by champagne at the official fan club meeting at the legendary Markthalle in Hamburg, Germany. Fans from U.S., Scandinavia, Southern Europe, UK and even Marocco came to celebrate with the metal queen.

Doro was more than happy. "It was a great event and now that the baby is baptized, nothing else can happen," she said. "I have a good feeling."

Soon after the release of the new record, Doro hit the road again in all parts of the word.

"There will be at least five or six new tracks in the set, because, in my opinion, this material is among the best songs I have ever written," she said.

Doro's new EP, "Raise Your Fist In The Air", was released on August 3.
